Every year, the Design for Good Award shines a spotlight on packaging that does more than simply hold a product: PACKAGING THAT creates awareness, inspires change, and makes a tangible impact in the world.

This category honors designers and brands that channel their creativity toward causes that matter, whether that’s advancing social justice, championing sustainability, or fostering community well‑being.

The Design for Good Award celebrates this work — recognizing packaging and brand design that serves a greater purpose, sparks positive change, and connects people through acts of creativity and care.

  • In 2024, STCKMN’s The Only Drop earned top honors for its powerful, minimalist storytelling — a whisky release that distilled a message about the value of water into an elegant, thought‑provoking piece of design.

  • In 2025, Gifted — a survivor‑owned social enterprise dedicated to ending gender‑based violence — was recognized for its packaging redesign by Nice People. The work incorporated protest‑inspired typography and the rallying message “Here, gifting is an act of radical love,” turning every product into a statement of support.

Who Can Enter?

This category is open to all packaging and consumer brand projects: professional, student, or concept — that are created in the spirit of making a positive impact. We welcome work that:

  • Supports a charitable or non‑profit cause

  • Promotes inclusivity and accessibility

  • Addresses environmental and climate challenges with community benefit

  • Celebrates cultural heritage and marginalized voices

  • Educates, raises awareness, and inspires behavioral change through design

Entries can come from any sector: food and beverage, beauty and wellness, tech, fashion, and beyond — as long as the project is rooted in authenticity and design excellence.

Special Reduced Entry Fee

For 2026, the Design for Good Award is offered at a discounted entry rate starting at $95 (Concept/Student tier), increasing in line with monthly deadline pricing. This reduced rate ensures wide participation while helping us share and promote more impactful work across the global packaging design community.
